I like doing some things by myself,
When I don’t answer to anyone.
I like being alone way back deep in the woods
Just me and the breeze and my gun.

So if you guys are planning on moving some deer
On a day when the woods are quiet and damp,
Don’t be put off if I pass this hunt up
Have fun, Good Luck, I’ll see y’all later at camp.

Now, don’t get me wrong or think I’m anti-social
I sure like raisin’ some hell with you boys
But, I also need time to be alone by myself
To relax with my thoughts without noise

For me, having a good time doesn’t have to be loud
It doesn’t always need to be filled with laughter.
I may just want some time, to be alone,
Sometimes a bit less is just what I’m after

When we’re back at camp and we tell our stories
And we go over everything that’s happened this day.
It’s funny how sometimes the best days I’ve had
Are when I didn’t have too much to say

Don’t think that I’m angry if I go off alone
You haven’t said or done anything wrong.
Its just that today is perfect for creepin’
I’d like it better if nobody else tags along.

I think I’ll pack a lunch and take a long walk
And I’ll see you guys later,.. when I get back.
Don’t worry, I’m fine, you have a good time.
And if you get one, tonight we’ll celebrate,
then we’ll all have a shot of ‘Jack’!
